After a decade of designing and creating printed stationery, we’ve decided to fully transition to digital. For the past few years, we offered a small range of editable templates alongside our printed designs and the response was overwhelmingly positive. We loved being able to help more people create beautiful stationery with ease.
As the post-lockdown wedding rush took over in 2022–23, time became tight and updating our templates kept falling to the bottom of the list. Eventually, we decided to take them off the shop temporarily so we could come back to them properly at a later time.
Meanwhile, the rising cost of paper and production meant we were constantly switching stocks and hunting for alternatives — just so we weren’t charging our customers an arm and a leg in this economy. Before we knew it, we were spending more time on budgeting than on design. It just wasn’t sustainable and ended up leading to burnout.
Back to Basics
After taking a much-needed break from stationery projects (and returning to both the literal and metaphorical drawing board), we refocused on what was always at the heart of The Hello Bureau: to create practical, beautiful resources that solve our customers’ design dilemmas.
To make that happen, we’ve now shifted entirely to digital templates and printable stationery. We point customers to trusted suppliers so they can print their own stationery — often at a lower cost. This lets us focus on what we do best: designing helpful items, while giving you more creative freedom, less expense, and no middleman.
Our Templates
We’re really excited that our editable templates are back! (We hope you are too!) We’ve refreshed and modernised our most-loved designs, giving them all a new refined look. Our collection includes printable invitations, signs, place cards, menus and more, designed with simplicity and clean typography.
Unlike many Etsy templates that use US paper sizes (inches), ours are designed specifically for Australian paper sizes — so they’re easier to print, trim, and won’t make your printer gawk at the awkward dimensions. Currently, our templates are available for purchase in Australia, New Zealand and the UK (all of which use compatible paper sizes).
While we’re starting with wedding templates, we’re also working behind the scenes to expand our range for baby showers, housewarmings, and life’s other meaningful milestones.
Printable Downloads
In addition to templates, we’re also creating non-editable downloads you can print and cut. We’ve started with envelope liners, but more printable designs are coming — including items beyond weddings and events.
Printed Stationery
After designing and printing stationery for hundreds of weddings, we’ll be removing all printed product listings from our shop by the end of June 2025. We may still take on the occasional custom project depending on availability.
We’ll miss the texture and tangibility of print, but we’re excited to pass the baton to you — so you can create professional-looking stationery at home, for a fraction of the cost.
