Combine Multiple PDF Pages Onto One Page

We built this tool to fit multiple PDF pages onto one sheet (ie. 2-up / 4-up), mainly to save paper and cut down on excessive printing. Design tools like Canva don’t offer a way to download multiple pages per sheet yet, which is a problem when you’re working with things like place cards or table numbers that are much easier to cut out when they’re gridded together on one page.

We couldn’t find a tool that did this well, so we made our own. Drop your PDF in, choose your output sheet size and how many items you want per sheet, and add trim marks if you’re planning to cut them out. A built in preview shows you exactly what the sheet will look like before you download.

How to put multiple PDF pages on one page (2-up / 4-up)

Select Your PDF: Drag and drop your multi-page design file into the tool below.
Choose Your Grid Layout: Set your desired columns and rows (e.g., 2-up for table numbers or a custom grid for place cards).
Select Output Sheet Size: Choose your printing paper size, like A4, A3, or US Letter.

Tips for preparing your PDFs for imposition

A few things worth knowing:

Very large files (50MB or more, or dense scanned pages) may run slowly on older phones or devices with limited memory, since everything processes in your browser rather than a server.
Password protected PDFs can’t be opened by the tool.
If your items vary in size, they’re centred within each cell rather than stretched to fill it, so smaller items may have a bit of extra white space around them.
If your margin is set very small, there may not be enough room for the trim marks to display clearly. A margin of at least a few millimetres (or a tenth of an inch) gives them space to sit properly.
This tool arranges existing pages onto a sheet. It doesn’t resize your original design, rotate pages, or fix uneven cropping, it just positions what’s already there.

Does this PDF tool work on mobile?

Yes. This runs in any modern browser (Chrome, Safari etc) on a phone or desktop computer.

Will it affect the quality of my PDF?

No. Your original content isn’t recompressed or redrawn, it’s simply placed onto the new sheet at its existing resolution.

What sheet sizes can I print to?

A4, A3, A5, US Letter, and US Legal. Your individual items can be any size, the tool fits them onto whichever sheet you choose.

How do I know how many will fit per sheet?

Set your columns and rows, and the tool checks whether your items fit at their actual size. If they don’t, it scales them down slightly and lets you know how many sheets you’ll need in total.

What if my items are different sizes?

Smaller items are centred within their cell rather than stretched, so everything lines up on the grid without distorting anything.

How do I print multiple Canva pages on one sheet?

Currently, Canva doesn’t have a native tool to impose or grid multiple separate pages onto a single sheet for printing. To do this easily, download your design from Canva as a “PDF Print” file, upload it to our free online tool above, choose your grid settings (like 2-up or 4-up), and download single sheets complete with cutting trim marks.

Are trim marks accurate for cutting?

Yes, they mark the exact edges of each item. Just make sure your margin is large enough (a few millimetres or a tenth of an inch) for the marks to sit clearly outside your artwork.

Are password protected PDFs supported?

No. Password protected or encrypted PDFs can’t be opened by the tool.

Do I need to create an account or install anything?

No. There’s no sign up and nothing to install. It runs entirely in your browser.

Is there a file size limit?

Does the tool keep a copy of my file?

No. Nothing ever uploads anywhere, so there’s nothing stored and nothing to delete later.
